Unhappy PHD woes.

Hi All

My PHD software is not refreshing the screen, I start a 2 second looping capture yet the same image of a few stars shows up. I have tried reinstalling various versions but no luck is there a cache that I can flush?

Can you give us more details of what you are trying to do. Ie what scope, what guide cam you are using. And what is the problem as PHD is guiding software and you should keep seeing the same stars that you lock onto. Most important is to know what tour guide camera is and how it is setup on your scope. Guide scope or off axis guiding.

Regards
Mardy

From your sig., I assume your using the ST80/ SSAG (similar to the QHY5)
What is different on the PHD screen that makes you think it's not updating?
When you move the scope during the capture - are the star images moving or not?

Hi Merlin

Yes that's correct if I move the mount the same grouping of stars show up, it appears not to update at all.

Hmm,
Are you sure the camera is connected properly? If you cover the end of the scope, does the screen go dark?
Was it working before?
Are you using XP or Win7/8?
I've stayed with V1.13 - it seems to work best for me, but I'm about to "upgrade" to PHD2.

It was working ok, all the sudden boom wont update. I'm on Windows 7 64bit the PHD is 1.14. It appears to be connected the light flashes on the camera when capturing mode starts.

PHD 2 ready to be released?

Cool, looks like they haven't added it to the download page on the stark website.

As I understand PHD2 is actually separate from Stark Labs.

Either way, good to hear you got it all sorted

Chris
