That's really pretty. I think a little extra sharpness wouldn't hurt it but it's still very nice.

Nice work David, Colour palette is very nice but it is a little too soft for me. Overall very pleasing to look at though.

Interesting colour scheme David with some nice contrasts in there. I'd probably also go for a little more sharpening but still a very pleasing image as it stands

Thank you everyone for you kind words. It seems the general concensus of a little extra sharpness is preferred.

I have added another single application of LocalHistogram in PI, not so sure at all what other would use to enhance sharpness?

Here is sharpened Carina: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3682/1...65670b77_k.jpg

Thanks again
David

I like this very much and I like the palette as I love narrow band. I am inclined to agree with the others regarding softness and I think the nebulosity could do with some saturation, the colour is a bit weak.

Must admit I only looked at the jpeg and not the larger version. I guess it suffered from a little compression which might have caused the softness so my bad for not looking at the astrobin link. That new image you have posted is just magic David! What a stunner!

Thank you Bart, I have enhanced saturation and sharpened a little as you and others have suggested. I think it looks better.

Cool colour palette, lovely David...but what else would we expect from a Starfire152EDF ...if you read my specs below the image, is your scope the same..?

What a big man standing next to an excellent setup. My scope is the f7 155 EDF, not really sure if there is any different specs between the 152 and 155 mm. According to the original owner, it was released around 2001. To avoid vignetting when used with 16803 chip I have to use an AP Flatterner at f7.6. It built like a tank as Greg has said, can handle heavy camera without much trouble.

Thanks Lucas, I definitely encourage viewers to see larger file if possible, huge difference it makes.
