I'll say it's hot, went outside a couple of times.....soon went back in to the Air'con....a nice 24'c.
I'd hate to be driving a car without Air'Con, on a day like this.
Send it this way. Just about had a gut full of the arctic summer here this year. Worst fail of a "summer" ever, Just about every day since August has felt like August. Went for a walk this afternoon, felt like a typical late winter afternoon with the slate grey stratocumulus, the muffled sunlight (when not behind cloud) and the cold southerly wind.
Brisbane and surrounds sound fantastic, real summer, watching thunderstorms while sitting in the balmy warmth drinking beer, better get the moving company on the phone!
I'm about to put a jumper on its cold out .
Not a fan of the heat , although I work in a hothouse , which has been getting over 40+ lately.
We have heating bills , you have cooling bills , there must be a goldilocks zone !
one of my friends in queensland told me that most Queenslanders take temps up to mid 30s in their stride! . But today it was 45' where I was in Brisbane, and I ended up having to call an ambulance for a woman who passed out in front of me in the street. The ambos said the quick temp jump along with the fires is making it worse.
Yes,Stephen-dreadful heat, even at 5 pm in the shade yesterday was still 39 degrees-see image of me walking past trail camera-with data shown ,was up to 43 degrees for 4 hours through midday.
Queenslanders having a whinge about the heat, like penguins complaining about the cold!
Take a concrete pill people, it's in the 40's for one day. When we get a real summer, it gets there and stays like it for a week, if you want to feel cooler, you look at the weather in Perth or Adelaide.
And that's nothing compared to where I spent my last summer, 42-45 everyday for at least two months, no rain relief, just dust, power would fail at least once a day, air conditioning couldn't hack the conditions and would not work.
Then to acclimatise me on the way back got sent into 55 degrees and 90% humidity for four days, I fixed my own air conditioner and spent three days not moving much.
Then back to the end of a Melbourne winter, car race meeting in Broadford where the temperature never got above 7C all day.
Bring back real summer please, I love lazy weekends sitting in my spa listening to the cricket.
