Dark skies in Victoria

I regularly work at Dookie College, Dookie Victoria. The skies there are some of the darkest I have seen. Dookie has virtually no light pollution. I plan on taking a Dobsonian there in Feb all going well.

Very luck are thee, I'm stuck 30km from the city so it's tough to find dark skies! I am very lucky that I have a friend who owns a farm in Kinglake which has some great views (And elevated above sea) and only a 1.5 hr drive for me. What sort of dob do you have?

I live out in the Wimmera too! I was also out last night watching M-42. As I'm on a 20 acre property away from the lights, every night here is perfect.
