Sun today

Imaged this outburst through cloud.
Today, looking at AR1890 around 11.55 am, I noticed this outburst on the west limb. It started roughly 11.55am and cloud put a stop to imaging 20 minutes later. By time I got another look, 1.15pm, it had all gone.
Imaged through a Coronado 40mm PST

That is very impressive. I just got one of these PST's and it's getting me more excited on the type of images I hopefully would be able to capture!

What did you use to capture it?

todays sun

Hello Stefan. I use my pocket Canon IXUS75, hand held to a 12mm eyepiece. Close up and even disc size, filling the field of view is simply, pull in on the zoom lever
Nice and easy

Wow that's pretty good for a digital camera!
