Jove Oct 18th. Reasonable seeing for the alt

Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter this morning in reasonable seeing for the alt. Captured data ranging from 25 to 33 degrees alt over a 67 min session.

Have attached 2 742nm IR data sets and an RGB. Of interest in the first IR image is a rather strange feature in the SEB that resembles the Greek letter Mu. Oval BA is very close to the P limb and there is a surprisingly good level of detail right across this initial image particularly for 25 degrees alt.

Have also attached an IR animation over 25 min's from 25 to 28 degrees alt with another IR animation over 17 min's from 30 to 32 degrees alt along with a 2 frame RGB animation over 34 min's from 29 to 33 degrees alt.

Thanks for looking.

Regards
Trevor

Trevor, That is an excellent amount of detail evident in the IR band, especially the first image.

A very commendable RGB too, but it looks like (longish) IR is will rule down here this summer.
