Variegated Wren with Hover fly

Could not help myself, had to go back along the scrub line today, but made sure I called along that area later in day,so light would be good.Worth the few minutes to wait and see these beautiful wrens attending to young in nest.Looks like he has a hover fly.Hope this is of interest-thanks for looking.

(settings-1/640 iso 400 F8 about 4.5 metres away,used 50D and 400 mm prime canon L lens)

Brilliant shot Chris amazing detail for what I assume heavily cropped image , unless you have Wrens the size of eagles up there.

Glorious birds and neat shot!

I've been trying to get a decent shot of a red-backed wren, that has been dancing on the fence recently, with little success.

Well done.
