The Small Magellanic Cloud and NGC362

Continuing with the series of widefield images here is one of the Small Magellanic Cloud in HaLRGB. It also has NGC362 in the field of view.

TEC110 fluorite F5.6, PMX, Proline 16803, STi guider on a Vixen VMC95.

Superb Greg!!

Remarkable resolution, lovely star colours.
Look at at all that HA!
Kinda wish I had a modded camera when I did my mosaic.

Cheers,

JUstin.

Thanks Justin. There is quite a bit of Ha. Not as much as in the LMC but still quite a bit. A modded DSLR would be handy for picking that up but you can always image the Ha later and blend it in.

Nice work Greg! Sure is an impressive field with so much going on. The cluster is too small to be 47Tuc. I think you'll find its NGC362. Time for a mosaic so you can capture 47Tuc in the same field! Well done.

So it is. Thanks for spotting that. Another mosaic! I may just do that!

The larger image has some noise in it at full resolution, but the view is great. Excellent field.

Thanks Paul. It was a between images decision to image it. The other target hadn't risen yet so not a lot of time devoted to it.

Greg.
