10" SCT Scope (LX50) and Mount and extras.

$1000 ono, or $2100 firm with adaptive optics and SBIG ST2000XM camera and filterwheel and filters.

This is the Meade LX50 10" Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope with EMC coatings and the Meade tripod and mount.
It is in immaculate condition and gives the best views through a 10" SCT that I have seen. I sold my C9.25 Edge HD and hung onto this one!

It comes with the large Meade tripod and wedge and LX50 mount. This mount can run all night of a set of AA batteries (included) and it fantastic for planetary work. I'll also throw in a slection of eyepieces, telrad, camera mount and some other accessories.

It also has $360 worth of Argo Navis encoders fitted!

It can also be used for deep sky, especially good for those tiny galaxies with its long focal length. If interested in Deep Sky Objects, then I can bundle it with a great camera, an SBIG ST2000XM and A07 adaptive optics unit complete with filter wheel and RGB filters and upgraded muscle plate. This camera has an on-chip guider, so no need for an external autoguider.
The A07 adaptive optics allows you to use this mount for long exposures, it works better than autoguiding.
$2100 firm for both the scope and camera setup. (Camera is available for $1500 on its own if anyone wants to split).

This is a beautiful scope and can also be used at f6.3 or f3.3 with optional flattener reducers.

It is in great condition and I regret having to sell it, but I just don't do anything except solar anymore with the new baby eating up my nights, and I need the $$.

I can deliver to Mudgee, Bathurst, Lithgow, Upper Blue Mountains for free, or can deliver to Sydney for petrol money and tolls

Images of scope below.

If anyone wants to split the package, as long as you can sort out payment amongst yourselves I can make two deliveries or post the camera.

Some examples of what the ST2000XM camera can do are on this page:

Scroll down tothe 2000XM images.

I'm not sure I could pack it well enough to ensure its survival to Perth. It would be large and very heavy, it would cost a bit.

I'll swap ya

Seriously though, if you can get to Lithgow, I can load it into your vehicle. I don't have the facilities in Mudgee to pack it well enough for shipping.

Hi Peter,

I am on the lower north shore of Sydney - Lane Cove. I am interested in the scope and mount and if you can drop it off, that'll be great. If not, we can drive up to Mudgee and pick it up. Can you let me know what suits?

- Koti.
