Can't win tonight...

Trying to shoot something already low on the horizon so there is some sense of urgency, also gotta discard some subs because of passing clouds and when I finally get one clear one this... wtf! Really? Especially #2. I'm sure he means it..

That'll teach you to live close to a flight path. It happens here too. And up at the farm because it's on the Sydney-Brisbane path.

that's rather annoying huh?

Lovely and clear here again but had some patchy thin stuff everywhere earlier during my red subs, so may do them again ...ah well, no planes at least...I don't think..haven't seen most of the subs I guess

I was just outside and the thin cloud is up here too.

That's the only thing that hasn't gone wrong for me tonight, Marc

I'm doing some fiddling tonight - was going OK until the cloud rolled in...

Impressive to capture a curved flightpath - what lens are you shooting with??

I'm not in any flight path, not that I know of. It was clouded out around 8:00pm. It's clearer now but still some high altitude haze. Bit of a pain. Yesterday was much better. Shame because the night started really nice and clear. 100mm David, so he is circling around :/

Marc, the way they spread the aircraft noise these days, added to windy conditions, everywhere in Sydney is under a flight path at least some of the time. Except over Macquarie Uni on astronomy open nights when they get CASA clearance to fire up the big laser.

Good for you Marc, hope it lasts, still cloudy here so me packup now got some RGB in at least, should be enough to put together an LRGB now...or perhaps anoher night is warranted

Clear skies

Mike

You're not missing much. The seeing is pretty dodgy for any long FL work.

Completed another automated imaging run with the only apparent clear spot in South Australia. How cool is that. No cloud and no planes. Good seeing. Averaging 0.09 for corrections. Very still seeing.

My filter wheel has been away for repair for 6 weeks now. As soon as it returns we'll get a frigging cyclone. Mark my words.

Can you tell them to keep it a while longer, Robin?
