4 planets, Brisbane 20/21 September

Last night's efforts for Venus (in UV using a Baader U filter), Saturn, Mercury (in IR using a Hoya R72 IR filter placed inside the eyepiece holder tube, and Jupiter from this morning. Seeing was pretty poor for low-down Jupiter. All shown at the same image scale.

All with a modified and unmodified Canon EOS 600D, 5x Powermate, 12" Sky Watcher Goto Dobsonian manually tracked.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent haul for one night, Tom. Might be worth a shot pushing the sharpening on the Mercury image to see if there is any surface detail in there.
