50mm f/1.4 to use for panoramas

Hey guys,

I don't have any good wide angle lens to shoot landscapes so I had the idea of shooting with the 50mm f/1.4 to shoot landscapes. I was looking at shooting panoramas & stitching them together. Has anyone done this & how well does it work, plus is it easy to stitch them together I did try a little trial but was getting vignetting. The good thing about this is I get a lot of detail when shooting the stars. Plus is there any good panorama program for free that are good.

Any help would be great, Cheers

I have used a 50 to decent results for panorama aplications, with no real vignette.

Use Microsoft ICE. Free, and I feel it is better than the paid fors.
