I finally received an invitation for my Australian citizenship ceremony in 2 weeks time to become a full blown Aussie
Really looking forward to the day.
I may have to change my Avatar signature. Working on that now.....

Good on ya John.

You do realize you will have to practice your "Aussie Slang" if ya wanna be a full blown Aussie.

One tip is not to practice too hard. Remember that "retrine" means
"making an effort", as in, speaking Strine without retrine.

Thanks everyone.

Had a great day yesterday. The ceremony at Hornsby council was very enjoyable and done with welcoming and plenty of Aussie good humour. Also learned how to apply vegemite properly

ps I decided to keep my avatar as it is following the recent Lions rugby tour results
