Two different Ha images.

Captured two images of the Sun this morning. Each is a single exposure through a Solarmax II 60 mm scope (SS) and Canon 550d camera.
First image was exposed for the surface detail, the second for the prominences (longer exposure). Thanks for viewing. John W.

Hi John, can I suggest you buy a monochrome camera for imaging the sun in Ha. You are losing so much from imaging a monochrome light from the Ha scope when using a colour sensor. The ZWO 120 is pretty affordable and worth the money. Your images will get an instant resolution hit. Good try all the same.

Thanks Paul for comments. I like taking the Sun pics with my Canon camera. It only takes a few minutes and I have pics processed and ready.
Maybe one day ....
