Hello Fellow IIS Members,
This is my fist post. I have had a quiet passion for astronomy since my younger days, and have recently rekindled my interest. I have been reading the IIS forums and have picked up a great deal of useful links and information. I am impressed with the community spirt, and the willingness of every one to help. I think it is Leon that has a tag of "Life is to short to look through bad glass" it is sort of I how I feel, living in a great place on the planet, and being able to look up at the night sky and feel connected to where I am. I am sure that I will be asking some really dumb questions in the future, but I know that I will get some really good answers. Garth
Hi Garth
Welcome to IIS
There is no such thing as a dumb question just a dumb answer !
RD400 I take it you mean the bike ?
BTW back in the 80s had a go on a RD350LC that was fun
Thanks David, yes the 1976 RD400C was the first bike I owned from new.
Nothing like an air cooled two stroke twin for the most fun for the least amount of moving parts.
Welcome to the forum... Seems like thier is lots of RD400 riders on IIS! Yep I had one as well.... Go like the wind.. Loved it... Good to see another Adelaide boy on the forum... Not been the best here for Astro stuff with all the bad weather... Things will get better so keep looking up..
Not wrong later my brother had a YZ465 and I had a TT500 bored out to 530 lumpy cam , port polish mmm , damn I want another
The 465 was an animal , as teenagers we had a hoot . OH&S what was that !
As long as we were home for tea mum didn't care . Just don't get in trouble
Looks like we have clear skies in Adelaide for the first time on the week end for ages, I am packing my gear up and heading out. Thanks for the welcome everyone
