Retrospectively inspired by Greg's talk on Fibonacci, golden ratios, etc, I cropped this picture taken the Thursday night before this year's AAIC from my hotel room. I don't think any of the elements actually conform too well to the ratios, but I do like the lightning I captured on the horizon between the two hotels left of centre. Rather than chase the stars in processing, I thought I'd try and preserve the blues in the sky to balance the sodium yellow from the ground. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Oh yes - Nero lightning triggers don't work under these conditions, even at maximum sensitivity. So I just kept poking the shutter release.
I'm actually very curious about others opinions on framing, composition, etc so would appreciate any commentary from those who have one!
cheers,
Andrew.
