Postal vote

For the first time in my voting life, I enrolled to do a postal vote. The poll papers arrived today, and I just completed them.

I am not of course saying which way I voted - AND I HOPE THIS THREAD DOES NOT TURN THAT WAY - but I did surprise myself. This sure has been a different election to usual, and it altered my traditional style of voting considerably - slightly away from my traditional vote, SHARPLY away from the ones I NEVER voted for (nor likely ever will), and a few oddities thrown in. It's the oddities that surprised me

I don't postal vote, but I do always pre-poll vote in the week or two before an election. Can't stand queuing for 30 minutes or more on polling day

I usually do too, but seems we will - thankfully - be actually on vacation. There's a change!

This year I finally twigged to the benefits of postal voting. Great idea.

Mary Jane Party STILL on the ballot.

As are some real ODDITIES this time around. And I did vote for all 82, NOT just one above the line.

For a laff, I did put one of the Sex Party candidates at 69 Surely, some counting clerk will find that amusing
