Omega Centauri

Here's Omega Centauri from 6th July, the same night as my M17 and Helix images. I used the cluster to adjust the collimation of the hyperstar lens then decided while I was there to snap away.

Total of 14 minutes , 10 x 30 sec + 9 x 60 sec, taken at F2 with 60Da and hyperstar on C11 Edge HD.

Processed in Pixinsight. Calibrated with bias and darks, still no flats however, I ran the image through DBE and ABE about 9 times, seem to work quite well.

I'm pretty happy with the stars across the field, I just hope I can get the same results next time I set up. It would be nice to have a permanent set up

Large image here (3.8mb)

Cheers

Rod

Glad i clicked the larger link it holds up nicely zoomed in to reveal the core detail.
I'm with you on the permanent set up, it would be great...till then, it's "see how fast one can set up and polar align" each time
Hope all is well

Thanks Steve ,yeah, this is one of those one's where I wish everyone could see the 192 mb Fit file, I guess we all get that from time to time.

Things are good, we're enjoying some warmer weather here in Sydney at the moment
