During the 1950s and 1960s, the Woomera Rocket Range was the second busiest rocket range in the world next to Cape Canaveral. Imagine where we would be today if it didn't scale back and eventually cease launches back in 1981.

Actually, rather like the "Yes Minister" hospital -with no patients- episode, we sort-of have one....

I forgot to mention...we also have important legislation in place , just in case you were actually thinking of putting something (apart from the pollies ) into orbit
