NGC6477 Luminance Preview

Hi All,

Its been a while since my last image, however I've just finished off the luminance channel of NGC 6477, here is a preview.

It's just a tad over sharpened; I'll have to fix that up when I add the RGB.

14 hours:

14 hours vs 4 hours - (You need to have java www.java.com installed on your machine) - just to show you how much difference a longer exposure can make.

All going well I should finish the RGB overnight.

What's my next project after this, you ask? Lets play guess that nebula!

That is a stunning image Brad, the best I’ve seen of NGC6744. Wonderful detail in the arms and core. It was also very educational to see the difference between 14 and 4 hrs - thanks!

Cheers

Dennis
