A quick M20 before cloud

Planned a nice LHaRGB image of M20 but only managed to get the R, G
and B. Finished the last red sub exposure as the low clouds moved in with
lightening speed! :-o Oh well, have to get the Lum and Ha next time :-(

Ah, Brazil were bloody lucky I say!

Mike,

Absolutely stunning is all I can say.

The full view is a must.

I can only imagine how much more breathtaking it will look with the L and Hα channels.

I look forward to coming over your place some time soon and doing some imaging with you if it is A-OK by you!

Regards,
H

Lovely image Mike. I really like the subtleties in this one, such as the curved nebulosity at bottom right hand terminating in a rounded pillar and the wispy blue stuff.

Cheers

No worries about coming over mate how about this coming weekend?

We will be out of here by end of August so you better hurry!

If it is clear, bring over ya scope and we can make a night of it - imaging and observing! Woohoo!

Thanks Denis

Shame about the slightly egged stars noticable under enlargement. For some reson I get this at times even when the autoguiding is telling me everything is hunky dory, not sure whether it is the filterwheel not placing the filters perpendicular to the optical axis or what...? Very frustrating to have perfect round stars one night and slight eggs on others, when nothing has changed in my equipment...?

Tooo right but it was an excellent game and the Aussie team really showed that they can genuinely match it with the best! The result could just as easily been 2 - 2 IMO. Brecianos acrobatic attempt saved by the right hand of the Brazilian goal keeper would have been a screamer and Vidukas lob over the same guys head deserved to go in. :-)
