Nice Flare AR1785

A few breaks today so I could check out Sol.
Got a full disc and a nice capture of AR1785 and Co.
Put on 4X Barlow and caught this sudden flare. Have 1200 frames so I will split it later and see. Would have been great to get it all - Clouds.

Nice work mate, glad you are getting something at least. I'm noticing a shadow over the disc to the right...As in it's not illuminated in the centre if you take my meaning..

Ralph, are the closeup images taken with a doubled stacked Etalon or a single Etalon?

Just a single George. Might try a double at some stage but seriously doubt I will get enough frame rate.

They are stunning images, you must have excellent seeing conditions?

Good stuff Ralph, especally the flare at that higher FL. I was imaging almost at the same time and captured the start of the flare whereas you got it in full flight.
