Worth getting colour for the Lagoon?

After my RCW106 image here is a 3 hr Ha "snapshot" of the Lagoon under the Supermoon.

Ordinarily I wouldn't image such a common object unless it was in UV but I was testing new software and sensor.

Higher resolution here

I like your work.

If you are not underwater right now, then colour is a good option

Hi Steven

I would certainly give colour a go but it often happens with my images that the resultant image, while pretty, never quite lives up to the resolution and contrast of the Ha.

Cheers

Steve

Do you blend your Ha and R data for luminance?

Regards

Steven

Sometimes but what I usually do is just blend the Ha into the red at about 70-80% then add a bit of the Ha (no more than 20%) to the blue and green.

Steve,

I suspect the key to getting a better quality luminance if one can avoid blending Ha and R in the luminance channel.

Regards

Steven
