Up for sale is my North Group ED80 Triplet purchased new about 6 months ago. I'm selling this as I need the funds to pay for other projects, and the repair bill on my Dslr I 'bricked' while attempting to mod it myself.
It is a 80mm, F6 scope with 10:1 focuser. There is a few scuff marks on the dovetail shoe, however there is no marks on the tube and the glass is in perfect shape. It should be noted that the large single focus knob out of the box had a slight bend in it, but seeing as it didn't affect the performance in any way I didn't bother getting it replaced.
As for performance, I wouldn't call it a true Apo, but Semi-Apo. On some of my images it would show the slightest of purple halo on the brightest stars. Whether that was because of my poor focusing or the glass, I'm not sure.
It comes with the original hard case and I'll also include a set of brand new Skywatcher 90mm tube rings.
Asking for $420 pick up in Perth or postage extra. Package weighs between 8-9kgs.
