tube for 8 inch newt

I need a source for a tube, suit a 8inch f/6 optics set i have. I live near the gold coast, so a source in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast would be fine. Even an old dob tube asembly without optics would be ok.

My local sheet metal fabricators were happy to make one to my specs and did it for next to nothing. But I'm in country Victoria.
There's bound to be a firm close to you, Google '"gold coast" sheet metal' and you get a stack of them.

Cheers

Chris

It is fun to make a tube out of thin plywood.

I have a spare Vixen 8" tube from an R200SS, though it is probably too short (the mirror in those are f/4) - was planning cutting it into sections for making a dew shield/light shield (seeing the R200SS secondary is very exposed).

If interested, it is available, but I suspect you'll need an extension to make it work f/6
