The triangular conjunction of Jupiter (top), Venus (left) and Mercury (right) photographed this evening from Mount Ainslie, Canberra.
The next time we are graced with this triangular spectacle will be in October, 2015. The tightest formation of planets won't happen until 2050, when five planets will be close together.

lol, Steve. He's still a random as I don't know him.
He was nice, though. Told me about seeing aurora australis in Antarctica. I had my CAS hoodie on (embroidered ANU logo on it) and he said he would come along to the next meeting and say hello.
I gave the image 1 tick of saturation in DPP. That was it.
The haze does wonderful things for saturating deep colours.
None from tonight. I was at work, and, I think there was lots of low-lying cloud on the horizon, too, so, it would have been a write-off even if I did make the trek up.

Thanks, mate.

In that case it must have been a beautiful sight visually as well!
