The Moon was pretty bright last night, and it illuminated the Canyon beautifully.
I travelled there with three friends, Heather (from NASA), Amjad and Richard (space geeks from the UK). We joined up in Flagstaff and have since driven down together to Tucson to attend SpacefestV. I just caught up with our Petra there this evening.

This is a 3 panel pano taken at Mather Point, plus a couple of single 30 second shots taken there.
It was very windy and quite chilly.
Calling it the Grand Canyon is an understatement. My first reaction on seeing it was to cry. It invokes emotions that beyond description.
Photos cannot do justice to it either. It is something you have to experience with your own eyes.
I'll probably add more photos as I get around to processing them.
PS. I can't believe I stood on the very edge of the Canyon to capture a handful of the images last night. Stepping beyond the barriers to do it. I don't "do" heights at a rule. My stomach usually leaps from my mouth and my heart goes into spasms. But it was worth getting blown off the edge to catch the views.
