some daft person placed an order for the EQ8 which should be delivered very early in June

it should all be over by the time August comes around

Works both ways! - the recent run of clear/dry nights was because I had to send my CCD off for repair/replacement....

Nice job David i ordered mine a while back and I emailed my retailer last week who mentioned that it will be here "soon after May 20" I'm taking that to mean any minute!

Looks like more rain ahead!

Congratulations on your purchase. Will you put the Titan up for sale as its replacement, or are they going to run in tandem? Bigger observatory?

I need some rain out my way.

Water tank is down to 30% and the dam is starting to look like a puddle.

Thanks mate.... I still have my DSI II on hand, just doesn't play with my current imaging software, going to service the mount, and hope my working CC is back soon....

you're probably right there! i'd be more inclined to take the later date rather than the earlier - as you say only been 3 years!

Either way, i'm hoping to grab it before the queens b'day long w'end. the moon is looking good, hopefully clear skies complement it.

if it all falls into place i'll be road tripping up to Burra, near H's territory and get me some darker skies

You are going to need Mike Sidonio to carry that for you!

Cripes, I didn't think they were that heavy.
