Oh No.. Not Chicken Tonight!

Mostly into solar imaging these days but decided to dust off the scope for some h-alpha work.

Yes it another IC2944 aka running chook. Here is my take on this favourite. Taken with the RC10 and STL6303E using 7nm baader filter. A 4 hour exposure cut short from my intended 7 hours by cloud. There is a little bit of collimation error and it could do with some extra data depth, but reasonably happy with the outcome.

A larger version can be found here at my: Flickr Link

Thanks
Ted

Crisp and punctuated! Very visually pleasing result, Ted. Would love to see some chrominance added to this data set. Should produce a cracker of an image, without doubt. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jase. Weather and time permitting before I get away on some travel.

Thanks Marc, I was focussing on trying to bring out structure.

Wow Ted that'd a great shot

The Thakaray globules really pop

Super. Clearly that's what this object needs... Extra long exposures
