Eta Carina very wide field

A very wide field, taking in Eta Carina and The Southern Pleiades among other features.

24 x 180sec frames dithered by 10 - 15 pixels. Calibrated and processed in Pixinsight. Post processing in StarTools.

Unguided Canon 5DMII Astrodon mod and cooled - Lens EF 200mm f2.8L USM II, stopped down to f6.3 at ISO 400 - outer suburban skies. Unfortunately, Geelong's midnight cloud rolled in and spoiled the night.

Cropping the centre portion is a thought, but uncropped here. Size reduction on tablet ruined the resolution giving no idea of the scale.

Really nice, good work! Very sharp, and so many stars! Looks like that lens does a good job.
