I saddened to hear that Chrissy Amphlett has died.

The idol of countless Aussie boys, the Divinyls lead singer was certainly one of my 'fancies' growing up, and a woman I admired as she battled MS & cancer in later life.

I could tell you a story or two about her. I saw her quite a few times live in Sydney when I lived there in the 80's in small pub gigs. She was legendary for one thing....

yes shocking news - i knew she was undergoing chemo as she was in the news over 12 months ago but not hearing anything is not necessarily good news. there are a few old rockers under the big C thumb at the moment

Sadly her M.S. prevented her from having the necessary radiation treatment for her cancer.
I saw her perform numerous times and she was definitely one of a kind.
Rest in Peace Chrissy.
