Ha Testing with an OSC

Hi,

I finally got my tracking issues under control and thought I'd do a few Ha tests with the QHY8 OSC.

These are single 15 min subs with my home built 10" F4 Truss.
I've moved to an OAG with the QHY5L-2 and guiding has never been better.
I still have some tilt to deal with and the qhy8 UV/IR nosepiece misted a bit
leading to those two donuts on M17, but I just wanted to see what's possible.

I'm aiming to do a HaRGB so will do colour and Ha again next new moon.
Taken from the backyard with a 60% moon.

Comments welcome.

Alistair

Indeed, a great test. They both look good.
What Ha filter?

Hi Gary,

I'm using a 7nm Ha filter, not sure if it is Baader. I can't remember seeing any printing on it.

Thanks Alistair.
If it's 7Nm, then most likely it is a Baader.
