New Years Day Orion wide field.

Since I'm playing Mr mum and have finished all the housework, cleaning, ironing, cooking and laundry I thought I'd reprocess an old file.

This is a widefield of the Orion region taken at Kulnura on the 1st January this year.
I had borrowed Octanes awesome Canon 24mm f/2.8 lens and Icemans platform for this 220 sec exposure using ISO 800 and the 20Da.

This new version brings out the colour much better.
Here's the old version (don't laugh).

It's so good shooting in RAW because as your skills improve you can always go back and tease out more from the same original frame.

I've also uploaded a larger version here (warning 1.2mb file)

Lovely shot, Andrew. Just teeming with stars, and nice to see Barnard's Loop, as Ving said.
