For Sale "Starry Night Pro" Price drop $150
As nobody was interested in my original ad for "Starry Night Pro" version 5.0, I have dropped the price to $150, including postage within Australia. This shows well over $100 saving on the local retail price, and is unregistered, unopened, absolutely new, in its original sealed box, and when registered can be upgraded over the internet with all the latest downloads.
This is surplus to my requirements, as I have another copy of the programme which I purchased less than a year ago. This has to be good value. PM me for more info.
Regards,
Mike

No offence taken, but I'm not desparate, and I'd rather donate it to a worthy cause, school, Astro Club etc when it can be raffled for funds, than accept less than $150. Whilst I own it, and therefore it's "second-hand", it is in fact "new" in every respect, the box is unopened, it can be fully registered, and will be recognised as such by Imaginova.

G'Day Mike,
Just a pity I have a similar programme, otherwise I would have snapped your one up, even when it was $180 It's a good buy and even a better buy now at $150 and I would never have called it "Second Hand" not in the true sense of the word, give it a go on Ebay you never
know your luck, or at http://www.geckooptical.com adds are free there. and good luck m8.

It very well maybe worth more, but it's only worth $50 to me for the
added extra's it would give me... even then $50 was at the top limit.
So I was only tendering what it was worth to me Like I said no
offence intended, I appologise it did
I class anything product second hand if it's being sold privately _period_ or
not by a known retailer/distributer, even if it's is in it's original un-opened
box
I wish you a successful sale
regards,CS

G'Day Mike
Is the programme still available?
How does the Pro version differ from the backyard version?

Hi Bob,
Yes, I still have the programme. I haven't owned the backyard version, so I'm not sure what the differences are, but one major fact would be the ability for the Pro version to control your scope direct from your computer, (providing your scope is compatible). If you go to Imaginova's web site at http://www.com.starrynight.com they have a comparison chart of their products. Another website to look at is www.wap.org/journal/starrynightpro/default.html which gives a glowing review of the product.
There are many other sites where the programme has been reviewed, and I expect your own Club members will be able to help out as well.
Let me know if you are interested.
Regards,
Mike

Bob,
That's fine, I'm in no desparate hurry, and if anyone else shows interest, I'll give you first refusal.

I'm just getting into this too - bought a CG-5 goto mount yesterday from Andrews and learning how to operate it.
Next step will be some software and cabling, so if its still available in a few days once I'm boned up may make an offer.
