What does the prefix "See" refer to?

Hartung object 256 is named See 78.

Could anyone tell me what the See refers to.

Other examples on a variable star list are RT Capricorni See 412 and RU Capricorni See 420.

See means refer to; i.e for object number 256 also look at object number 78 for other corresponding information.

Chris, that was my first thought but I went to page 78 instead of object 78.
Thanks for the dope slap. Must wait until I'm fully awake in future.

Hi,

There IS a SEE catalogue too Simbad has it in their dictionary, but it is cited as SEE98 followed by RA and DEC. It is of QSOs

http://cds.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/Dic-Simbad?/10885179

So you can claim being half right

Cheers

Yes Geoff, that's what I was thinking of all along. Just didn't explain it correctly!
