Hi Matthew

I cant confirm sorry, the only camera I have left is my 5D, and its view finder is too large. I used it on my 1000D without issue and it worked on my 30D.

I measured the "slot" and it maxes out at 17-18mm

Sorry I cant be more help

Regards

Lars

Lars,

Do you have any links to the unit - so I could see if it fits the 400D, or could you post a picture of it's eyepiece connector next to a ruler so I could guess if it fits?

BTW - what did you think of the finder's usefulness in regards to astrophotography - does it really help? Do objects remain focused as both 1x and 2x magnification?

Thanks,

Matthew

Seagull

Matthew

I'm happy to take some pictures on Thursday is that's ok. I found them useful for framing and focussing, your mileage may vary.

There are plenty of reviews out there of this little sucker, although I couldn't find one specifically focussed on AP.

Cheers

If it helps, I have the Canon OEM unit and it comes with two viewfinder attachments.
  • A larger unit that fits my 5D Mk III
  • A smaller unit that fits my 40D.

Cheers
