Thick haze over Melbourne

Looks like bloody Beijing out there and smells like a wood burner. Perfect weekend weather ruined, but what else is new....

Anyone know why?

Whinging, what whinging? I ask a simple question, trying to make discussion and this guy comes and and lambasts me for whinging. For gods sake just keep it to yourself for once God, can't even make conversation here without being attacked right off the bat by some know it all

Smiley faces usually mean someone is playing with you... you know, a bit of a leg pull.

Sheesh. I give up around here with people's lack of humour.

Melbourne weather bugs the hell out of me! One minute it's cold, next minute it's hot.

I'm hoping for some clear skies tonight.

It's not people's lack of humor, it's how you worded your post.

EIGHTY??!!!!

Should've known it was those idiots again. They've caused many a bushfire by doing their arson on windy days and ofcourse every single promising occasion is ruined by these burnoffs. Lost many clear autumn nights in the past to these manky trolls.

GO and rot DSE

Gday Dave/SAB

Yep
I went to look at the DSE website and found this link
http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/fire-and-o...current-status
Got a real pretty map of the current status and whats approved to do.
IIRC, the interview suggested they were going to try for as much as possible whilst the weather was good this weekend.

Holy crap! No wonder why, explains alot. I stayed up all night imaging last night, but the whole sky seemed to turn a little more orange towards 4am... felt like there was a very thin high-level cloud present. Definitely not as dark as it normally should be on a cloudless night! Fingers crossed for tonight though!

So according to them, they can't do it when it is cloudy??? What a bunch of turd burglars. Going by past years, I was only too convinced that these weekend would be ruined by these burnoffs, it's all too predictable, just like clockwork every nice clear day.

DSE= defartment of suckholes and embers.

I have no problem with what the DSE are doing this week and weekend. Most of them are also firefighters who work alongside the CFA vols, so to disparage them by calling them "idiots", "turdburglers", "defartment of suckholes and embers" and other offensive names simply because you want a clear night for your simple hobby shows your maturity and understanding of the greater picture of what the DSE achieve with their planned burn offs. I'll also remind you that two DSE members lost their lives evenly fighting fires which most of Melbourne wouldn't have been aware or even cared about.

DSE can burn off as much as they see fit, in my opinion.
