Perfect night for QLD

Last night was great... apart from that 85% Moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always the way - new moon or part moon / early set = cloud. Full/ near full = perfect.

It was even COOL last night - if I had the imaging telescope out, the dew heater would have been required for sure - all the car glass was dewed over and COLD. Binos got a good work out instead, and the newly discovered 4.5" reflector which still needs the secondary cleaned

Agree. Best seeing I've ever had in Brisbane.

I had a 6mm orthoscopic in a 2500mm f/l SCT on Saturn and the image was perfectly steady - that was about 11pm - never seen Saturn so clearly - seriously, it was better than some people's photos.

The seeing started to go off shortly after that, but stayed around 250-280ish until I quit around 2am.

*shakes head* outlook is grim too. I only got the binos out last night, I should've used the scope coz I don't think its going to be any good for a while again. someone needs to buy a scope in Victoria so they can have some rain, or wash n polish their car .... or something!!! :p
