A new Pope and clear skies!!!
Good morning everyone!!
I woke up this morning to be greeted by a clear blue sky and the news that Pope Francis I had been elected!!
If the clear skies were his doing then I'm putting him up for canonisation!!!
Cheers,
Mario
PS Dear PF1, please keep the clear skies going till at least midnight tonight....

I finished fixing the EF Falcon at 1030 last night. Looked up, and sure enough, CLEAR. REALLY clear, and little star twinkle.
I was too tired to try...
So, MAYBE tonight

Cyclone Tim just formed off FNQ... Hopefully heading south east like Sandra - but that will mean lots of strong coastal winds to nail the beaches.

Clear skies here and if we are lucky it might even last until the weekend.
I caught the Ch 7 and 9 morning news (usually a mistake), and the banner read A NEW HOPE. The Star Wars theme was running through my head and I half expected to see Luke Skywalker walk onto the balcony as well. They could probably use the force at the moment.

Geez, I am not even catholic, and things are looking on the up and up
Add a new (OLD) scope to my list for this week... a Vixen VC200L (NOT the one on the trader).
OOPS, I see some puffy cumulus...

New Papa or not I woke this morning to low cloud everywhere, I mean LOW.
Our house is at 970 m above sea level, the cloud is down to 900m, can't see shot! (or however that is spelled).

Woke up to thick fog this morning, not sure what was going on there.
Congrats to the new pope, the first from Latin America I hear.

All hail Pope Frank!
Although, to be truly progressive, I reckon they should have chosen a Muslim Pope.
Cheers,
Jason.

I am in Buenos Aires at the moment where the locals are celebrating like mad. One guy on the subway morning was so excited h just had to rob me - got my wallet, cards and a fAir wad of bills - despite my taking what I thought were pretty good precautions. No out he'll be forgiven - in th circumstances.
After all, who could blame him to getting carried away.
Peter

Sorry to hear that Peter.
That sucks big time, I suppose there is no chance they will catch the sod.
Hope the rest of your trip is better.
