First light -new toucam -2/10 seeing

Tried imaging with my new Toucam which finally came after a two week wait. It took me a while to get used to the new interface and wouldn't you believe it, it was the worst seeing I've seen here. Jupiter would not stay still for a second. Totally blurred seeing. Anyway took one avi about 8pm AEST that was the best of a really mediocre bunch. What is promising was that could shoot at 640x480 at 10fps which I couldnt do with my modded Quickcam 3000.

That's great Allan, at least you've gotten rid of those dropped frames and can now shoot 640x480.

Looking forward to the next lot!

Have the camera and the program, but I may stick with Vega for a while to see if it has some advantages. I can do time lapse with Jupiter etc with it.

Nice shot Allan with plenty of image detail in poor conditions. Look forward to you making it sing in some great seeing that SE QLD is now well overdue for....

Reckon's it's all the development around my house, dust everywhere that acts like a cloud blanket keeping the SCT near to Ambient... might explain the grain in my images too

Hi Allan,

Nice colouring, banding and detail. Especially for 2/10, I think there could be some beauties come from this imager.

A webcam control program by Colin Bownes (?) no longer available from his site but I have a copy on CD. Workes well and has a few bells and whistles not generally available. If you want a copy pm me.
