OOOPS- help me identify this please

Hi Guys,

If I had any ego I wouldn't post this (I might not have any whatsoever after I get seriously flamed...)

Took this shot, possibly Algorab. Can anyone tell me if it looks like it could be?
It was taken with the same F6.6 on the C9.25 as the other pics i posted earlier. not cropped.

And if anyone can tell me what the very faint second star behind the main centered blue one is as well as what the nice yellow one on the right of the shot is that would be great.
What can i say....I should keep better records, I should do mental exercises, etc....

thanks
Most humbly yours....
frank (darn should have used a pseudonym...)

Hi, I don't think it is Algorab, though it does appear to be a close double.
I don't spose you know what the fov of your imaging setup is?
Would help setting up the view in 'the sky'. Nonetheless I can't seem to reconcile your image to the field around Algorab......sorry,
tsk these people who come on here asking questions using other people's names.....I dunno
best,
Doug

Looking at Star Atlas Pro, I would say Algorab, the secondary is listed at V Mag 9.3, no spectral class listed, the Orange star could be Hip 60881, listed as Spectral Class K5. The other star halfway between could be Tycho 06103, V Mag 8.2.

Just a guess though.

Thanks guys,
i thought it might be Algorab because of the sequence of shots stored on the camera, i think it was the "precise goto" target for M104 which i think was Algorab but cant be sure.
Sorrry dont know the FOV. I can say it was taken withthe C9.25 F6.3

thanks
frank (AKA not frank but someone else)...

OK, Confirmed!
the Main star is Algorab, the blue secondary is GSC6103:2398, no spectral class, Mag 9.38, ang sep 24"

The yellow guy is 8 eta corvi, or SAO 157435, or Hip 61174 or a few other aliases). Mag 4.3 spectral FV2.

I should have thought to create a fov in the first place, but I didn't.

best,
Doug
