Jupiter

Hi.

A couple of Joops from the 19th & 28th May.

Both in 3/10 seeing conditions.

A fair bit of work involved to get these 2 looking semi ok.

C9.25 & Toucam.

I've noticed the moon will be on display most times, but not always. Could be Ganymede but its out of shot, not sure though.

Good on ya Asi,

Good day for practicing up on the processing skills, or in my case lack of processing skills.

I got a UDO my self. Tractor is brocken down, can't steer it, wants to go in circles all the time. Hydraulic pump $2000+.

Bad luck about the pump mate. Is that 2000 bucks to replace or repair?

Hi Asi,

They don't repair them, so that is new price.

By the way I need another lesson on how to make the larger black border around the image.

What!? Bring back the good old days when one could repair anything!

I hate todays throw away society. Ridiculous.

I'll explain the steps for getting 'a larger black border' shortly. Basically what your doing is creating a new larger blank image & pasting your joop image into that newly created blank one.

OK!

This is easier said than done on the internet..

In pic publisher, goto create new image. Make it RGB colour type, width 1000 pixels X height 850 pixels. Once created, it will be just a white blank image.

Pullup your joop image, right clik on it & copy it, do the same on new blank image, only choose past. Save & name it.

Get the image back & choose colour probe from toolbar on the left, select the left colour probe. put your cursor on the black background & left clik once.

Goto retouch tools (left toolbar) choose the tool on the left, 'colour in' the white border to make it the same colour as the background on your joop pic.

Need further help?

It will have to be in person, & I'll show you 50 times so you'll never forget it!

BTW to get it on the forum, resize the image to the size of your choice (as a PG of course)

Hey Asi, always like a good shadow transit. Hope it comes good for you. Been 3-5/10 up here for some time, but unlike you I'm not ready for good seeing yet, please don't subject me to a horrific all-nighter, please OK

cheers,
