Got some data on the hard drive at last. First deep space data since early November by the looks
Between Lightning strikes, ex Tropical Cyclones, getting new gear to work lots and lots of rain and general laziness, images from here have dropped to zero.
But everything is working again and we got 2 clear nights the other week so I got a bit of eta in NB to make sure everything was stable and working.
I only got 2 x S2 subs and it shows but now the weather has closed in again for another month or so, that's all I'm gonna get by the looks.
FS-102@F6, new starlight wheel, new baader unmounted NB filters, new QHY5L II guider, Atik 11000 no flats.
slim - i would be over the moon with the data you have - i am suffering photon envy. storms due through here tomorrow, wet friday and cloudy and cruddy for the next week after that. I am over it. the forecast for the next month isnt that good - I will miss the comets, Orion, and a few northern objects. This just gives me hope that there is a tomorrow
JackD's on special at the moment to sooth your soul
I did get my first video just after Xmas but Shiraz (Ray) had to align the colours for me as I buggered it up and couldn't fix it. QHY5L II mono. I've since bought a colour version which has not been out of the box
Nice work, Robin! You must have better weather over on the Southside. I haven't noticed any clear nights here either. I suppose you have the advantage of a dome and can sneak in an hour here and there...

Certainly the clear skies on my part of the southside have been few and far between! As for the image - fantastic!!
Please excuse my ignorance (as I haven't been into astrophotography for about 12 years now) but what is the cause of the orange colours? Most nebula photos that I have seen have been a deep red colour but i'm seeing more of this type of photo recently and it's got me a bit confused.
