JUPITER 29 May... Ho Hum seeing

Hi All, still on the edge of the Jetstream here so seeing ranged from 4-6/10... though mostlys 4-5. Planets disk fairly stable but lots of fussing in and out.

Haven't got through the avis all yet, but here's one of the better ones... which ironically was the first one I took so perhaps I missed some better seeing early in the evening. I've pushed this pretty hard to get the detail, but at the expense of more grain. LR deconvolution with 5 iterations at radius 1.3 and then a 1.4x min blur Unsharp Mask.

cheers,

Very nice Rob. Well done, given the conditions.

Some great detail there despite the grain. Those white ovals in the polar region are always nice to see, and well brought out by some good processing.

Good stuff

Very sharp image, and fine detail, hope the seeing improves for you also, Robert.

Hey Rob,

That is a very fine image...I know...'cos I was out there at the same time and didn't manage to grab anything worthwhile. You done good to get such a quality Jupiter in those conditions.

Cheers

Dennis
