Command the Milky Way to RISE!

This shot was taken at Forresters Beach last Saturday morning, about 3:45am.

It's a single 30s exposure, f/2.8 14mm on the Canon 6D at ISO6400.
I'm amazed at how much light is captured at ISO6400!

I'm much happier with the processing of this one compared to the first light at home. There's basically no processing of the foreground - it was captured almost exactly like that.

Large version

I love this 6D!

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Mike.

You can easily see the increased light sensitivity over the excellent 5D2.

Greg.

Thanks Greg - it's definitely more sensitive. It's opening up a whole new world.
