Our 007 girl in the top ten

Well with all the cloudy weather in recent months,my interest has waned considerably in astronomy,I have been involved in other areas of photography.My son is very keen on photography and has done two years in cinema photography,helped him make a wildlife DVD,which he has just released.

Also helped him with a few photography projects-he wanted to put an entry is this 'Bond Girl' photo comp,so he put three entries in,and the first round went to public vote,and ten most popular now go to next stage-where the judges of the comp select a winner.

So a bit of fun,and its good to see some of my camera gear get used,instead of gathering dust in observatory.

I don't think your a dinosaur geoff, some of the entries are more worthy of Cruft's rather than a Bond Girl contest.

Thanks all,it was just a bit of fun-but the problem with 'Public Vote' in any competition,is you have people voting on matter they generally have little knowledge on.

There are some odd ball entries that madr it to top ten,one is brilliant photographically speaking-great composition,lighting and well thought out,(and some high end gear),but the girl-well not quite sure she would be considered a'Bond Girl'.

There was 102 entries,so son was chuffed to make top ten,but I think one of his others was better.Unlikely that it will make final cut.I think the girl with 'Golden Gun' as seen on 'Man with Golden Gun' will do well-that was one of my favourite Bond movies-did any other natural history students observe the entomological and albatross skull collection in the hoods lair?

Oh;and by the way-the gun was a toy-just thought I'd mention that before ned flanders starts whinging again-and gets another of my posts deleted.

Ned Flanders reporting in. It was a legitimate question that I asked you in your thread. I didn't ask for the thread to be deleted. The person who deleted the thread, decided in /their/ wisdom that it was best not to have photographs of animals in distress on this forum.

She shoots EXCEPTIONALLY well too - she used to be a high school pistol team member back in Russia Just have to teach her to cook

These were shot YEARS ago with a first generation EOS 300D with kit lens (PLASTIC - ICK!)... bought it when it FIRST hit these shores!

But generally speaking, NO, you do NOT want to "annoy" her - she'll cut you down to the knees with psychology first (she is a psychiatrist - I keep telling people I married my shrink )

Yep, Mosin Nagant M91/30. Izhevsk 1943 by memory (long since sold in WA)
