The Scorpion

Hi all,

It's Back!
How lucky are we here in the southern hemisphere to be able to view and photograph this section of the Milky Way for about ten months in each year?

Wanted a really twisted and broken old tree for this one to mimic a scorpion somewhat. Taken early this morning. 5 image panorama with my 5D Mk II and the "nifty fifty" 50mm F/1.8 @ F/2.8

"The Scorpion"

I was watching Scorpius rise from my front veranda this morning.
I'm so glad some one took advantage.
A lovely image.
