I know Colo like the back of my hand.
I grow up not far (<10km) from there and have friends that still live there.
The photo looks like
Upper Colo.
Colo has dark skies and is very beautiful indeed.
Some problems that I will put forward are....
1. Colo is basicly a series of open or narrow gorges with intermittent alluvial open flats that are prone to flooding (if it ever rains!). Even when it is dry, many flat areas that are low remain slightly boggy.
2. Because of this topography most houses are built on the sides of the sloping hills or high ground, shining light from above. Although, these houses are sporaticly spaced and you sometimes don't see them at all through the trees.
3. The road through Upper Colo winds along the bottom edge of the gorges. I can see the road on the right hand side of the picture. You would be surprised how many cars drive along these roads. Headlights!
4. If this site is in fact Upper Colo, or on Upper Colo road, there will be plenty of dust. Thats right, DIRT ROADS!!.... and lots of dust! The first few km's are sealed.
I hope that the site is right at the end of Upper Colo road where there is no car traffic, or at
Colo Heights.
WE NEED MORE INFO.
