Its happened AGAIN!!!

My new cam arrived last yesterday arvo.....(Imaging source DBK21AU618 (for planetary/Lunar imaging))
So I snuck out of work a bit early to set it up, install drivers and make sure it all worked as I couldnt wait to set it up and use it later on for a moon or jupiter shoot. I thought it was going to be great.....it was clear out, no breeze, the day was cooling off nicely. To pass the time I decided to go for a run at 8pm while the last of the sun was setting...........and thats where my excitment went to heart break....... As I left my front door and looked up to the skys all I could see was a massive cloud system covering the sky as far as I could see.....even now some 12hrs later it is still blanketing the sky as if trying to taunght me!!!! hoping it wont be long and I will be out playing like a kid with a new bike!!!

I,m on 20 acres outside a small wheat & sheep town called "MARNOO". I'm away from light pollution & my nearest neighbors are 3 km away.

I used to setup inside an empty water tank during the drought. Kept the wind away

Find an old rusted tank and just use the walls as a wind-break. It makes a huge difference on those windy nights.

Exactly. It get's windy at my joint - I set up a heavy wool blanket on a simple wooden frame, and voila - no wind.

My Takahashi should arrive by the end of the week, so the forcast is showers, storms and cloud.
