ASNSW Introduction to Astronomy (I2A) Course 2013

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick announcement that the ASNSW I2A is running again in 2013 at Epping Creative Centre. ASNSW I2A courses are open for enrollment to everyone - not just ASNSW members. This course is a great introduction to the basics of astronomy for those who have a general interest or are new to the hobby. No prior knowledge is needed. The course fee includes course notes and refreshments. Please register soon if you are interested, as places are limited by the size of the venue.

The course runs in 2, 6 week blocks for which you enrol separately.

The first block is as follows:

Part 1 - Mondays 4th Feb to 11th Mar 2013 inclusive - Introduction, Observing the Southern Sky, Earth-Sun-Moon, Solar System, Telescopes, Stellar Evolution

You can read all the information at: http://members.asnsw.com/node/28

and register at: http://www.asnsw.com/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=8

The course leader is Lesa Moore - aka Starrylady http://members.ozemail.com.au/~starrylady/

Lesa's style is welcoming, open and helpful. Past students have raved about Lesa's communication style and the way she explains difficult concepts simply and in easy to understand ways.
